Do you ever have days when your to-do list feels more substantial that you do?

    Oh yes!!!
    Very nice illustration Liz!
  • great pic...perfectly illustrated!

We've all "done that" once or twice....
  • I can relate. Absolutely.

Thanks for illustrating the inner me. :)
  • I was wondering what your picture would be today.
This reminds me of a book I read years ago. I can't remember the name at the moment.

My to do list. It can be heavy some days.
  • Every day of my life, lately.

    Terrific picture!
  • Yes.

    :) HUGS!
  • I love that. And yes, all the time. *G*
  • Oh yeah.. and meanwhile the boulder is snickering at me...
    • I figure mine is telling me how I'm pushing all wrong and lecturing me on how lazy I am and itemizing the other things I should be doing instead of pushing it up that hill.
(perhaps I'm reading too much into this. hmmm....)
  • Yup, all the time! I push it two steps forward and the bloomin' boulder rols back three!

  • Beautiful! That is kind of how I feel today.
  • Haha! This just makes me smile and smile. I don't know how you find the time to come up with such great concepts and execute them so well, but I'm awfully glad you do! Seeing your art makes me happier to be alive. :)
    • I'm glad to hear that! It's da truth, this week. Maybe things will lighten up... I so need to lighten up!
  • Wonderful!
  • Oh yes! The Sisyphus syndrome... You made it look at least very beautiful even though it's hard to do!!!
    • I'm glad you like it! I figure if there wasn't something compelling about the boulder, Sisyphus wouldn't bother. He'd just sit at the bottom and say, sure yeah. Bring on the liver-munching eagles-- I refuse to push that stupid thing!
I wonder what it's telling him?
  • ohhh i love this!
  • from Ginger *:)

Oh boy do I have a feeling there is more to come. Wonderful illustration and great emotion. I can just feel the 'heavy' in this...and it may all come tumbling down.

Also LOVED your garden. We had more snow today.... on top of the 2 feet lying around .... one wonders????
    • Re: from Ginger *:)

Thanks, Ginger! Two feet of snow and then some.... yikes. We had that a couple weeks ago, but lately it's looking more spring-y. I see mud, birds are singing, snowdrops are peeping. I just hope the fruit trees don't decide to believe it-- It's really March, and the sky is fooling!

    a nice one!
  • In response to your question: All the effing time.

    Poor, poor Sisyphus (sp?)

Oh yeah, I know what you mean! Your personification of those daily burdens is excellent, and makes a great little twist on the myth of Sisyphus!

  • I really like this illustration--particularly the face on the stone. I think the Prometheus myth is powerful, because often its the way we approach life--we're pushing, trying to get somewhere, and its too much. Somehow though, we often get to the top, even if we have more to do the next day.
    • I like your positive spin on things, Kathy!
I think that attitude is what keeps things moving., and hopefully, getting results, even if it doesn't always seem that way.
      Well, that and coffee...
*heads for the pot once more*
  • wonderful image!

what a wonderful image!! I saw the face first; considering the boy; and the boy secondary.

    • Re: wonderful image!

Yeah-- I think he's definitely the lesser of the pair. And I know just how he feels!
  • Nice illustration.

It's me, vandyke (http://vandykeroth.blogspot.com) with a comment. Yes, I have felt that illustration many many times. The latest being last Tuesday. Good work.
    • Re: Nice illustration.

Thanks! Yup... we're just getting past it (FINALLY!!!). Next week, I expect it will start all over. *sigh*
