...Get to vote for a candidate who says exactly what she means.
Who is a truly good and decent human being.
Who didn't have any particular designs on getting into office because she already has a successful career she loves, writing award winning YA novels.
Who will have less time to devote to her writing passion if she's elected, but who feels that it's more important that she contribute to the common good than have an uncomplicated life.

Voters in Ellsworth Maine have that chance with Carrie Jones.

        I don't want to do it. It would be an awful job.
        Hm--I bet she wouldn't like it either.
        But I want a really good candidate to choose from, that is honest and cares about people, like Carrie.
        Not the ones who are in the political game.
        The poor dems are going to hurt themselves if they keep fighting and then we will be in a huge world of hurt. I'll vote for either of them--but I think they might be giving Mr 'lets make more war in this world' a better chance with what they are doing.
